There are certain single tab manipulations that are key to helping managing spaces. In addition to the Action Bar helping the user jump back to pre-existing tabs in spaces, we should be able to push misplaced tabs back into the appropriate spaces. This can be done by:

• Right clicking on the tab and sending it to a recent space that's currently "hot"
• Opening the Switcher and dragging the tab on top of the appropriate name of the space within the modal representation.

UI/UX

In the right click mechanism, allow the user to move a tab to a space congruent to how users can move the tab between windows.

The tab will be able to dragged from the header and straight into the space showing in the Switcher, and the space doesn't have to switch in order for the tabs to be sent to the appropriate space!

• Allow the changing of the name for a single tab without having to save the tab into the file system. Extreme edge case feature, but might be useful.
• Snoozed tabs: hide tab until condition == x is met. Examples of x are time elapsed or date. Then the tab will pop back up in the workspace
  • Is this still helpful now that there are Spaces? Isn't moving it to a different space like snoozing the tab (?)
